Introduction
The Fraud Detection Data Contract defines the integration between the PagoNxt Payments Hub and the Fraud Detection Capability to ensure secure and efficient fraud prevention for ISO20022 payment messages.
The contract outlines the responsibilities of both parties, specifying that the Fraud Detection Capability screens incoming messages (e.g., pacs.004, pacs.008, pacs.009) for compliance with fraud prevention rules, sanctions lists, and regulatory requirements. It employs behavioural analysis, velocity monitoring, and transaction contextualisation to detect fraudulent activities.
The integration uses standard ISO20022-compliant XML messages, with payment messages (e.g., pacs.008, pacs.009) sent to the Fraud Detection Capability and results returned via pacs.002 messages. Outcomes include statuses such as approved, suspicious, declined, or escalated, with detailed actions defined for each case.
Key data exchange elements include a unique correlation ID, the contract version, and fraud outcome headers to ensure seamless processing. The document emphasises adherence to ISO20022 standards and future-proofing via change management procedures. By establishing robust fraud detection workflows and clear communication, the contract ensures compliance, mitigates fraud risks, and maintains transaction integrity within the payment ecosystem.
